Hi, and welcome to the third edition of STIMULUS News! It has been another busy quarter with a number of achievements this time round. The word is spreading about STIMULUS, and there has been positive feedback from clients regarding the information they have been receiving.
Events Four workshops were organised this quarter with interest being shown for the Setting Inspirational Goals & Planning for Success session, The Business Mind and Minimising Stress, Maximising relaxation.
Being You The theme for this newsletter is honouring yourself. You are you - there is no-one else on this earth quite like you. We are all here for a purpose – our job is to find out what that purpose is. We all have our own set of skills, talents and abilities that is unique to us. This is your gift. If you hide your talents you are depriving others of your gift and that is a shame. Once you have discovered what your gift is and unveil it to the world you will experience a level of wellbeing that is unparalleled. Sometimes we do not recognise our special gift because we are often living life to other people’s standards, and fulfilling their dreams rather than our own. So ensure you are acknowledging your natural abilities, living life to your potential and honouring your true self.

Self Reflection
It is always a good idea, at the end of your day, to come back to your centre and reflect on yourself. Spending quality time with yourself is no longer decadence, it is a necessity in today’s fast-paced life.
Some of the questions you might want to ask yourself are:
• What/who did I really connect with today? • What/who did I not connect with? • What went well? • What did not go well? Why? • What have the events of today taught me? • What can I now tell the world as a result of today that will enlighten it?
These are the kinds of questions that allow you to reflect on how well you connect to the world and others. From your ‘gut feeling’ answers to these questions you can begin to paint a picture of the real, underlying, inner you no-one else sees.
Express Yourself Through your own Business Ever thought of running your own business? Many people baulk at the prospect. Why? For many reasons including fear of failure or success; some may feel it is too complex; the thought of having premises or staff may put others off. Whatever your reasons for not being in business right now, it may be worth seriously considering it as an alternative to your full time or part time job.
Positive contribution Building your own enterprise is not just about making money. It is one of the most powerful ways in which you can express yourself and let your light shine on the world. Your business is your own soapbox, an opportunity for you to make a positive contribution and touch the lives of others. In addition, it is a route to financial and psychological freedom. Building your own business is one of the most powerful ways in which you can honour yourself, because you are building something that is an extension of you. It is an avenue for you to bring forth your unique package of skills and abilities; an effective vehicle for you to put your own unique message across to the world.

Coaching yourself
We all need some assistance now and again in the form of a little hand-holding. Life coaching is one way in which we can obtain that assistance. Life coaching allows individuals the time and space to go in on themselves and seek the answers to their own questions; if we ask long and hard enough we will find the answers. The coach does not give advice, but is there as a guide, asking open questions designed to present different ways of looking at an issue.
As a client, you start by understanding exactly what the issue is. Using tools and techniques introduced by the coach, you can observe your own behaviour in different circumstances, and prevent yourself slipping into old negative habits. Essentially, you begin to coach yourself.
Control This gives you an enormous amount of control over your life. You begin looking at what is not working in your life, and begin to develop your own processes to bring about change.
You learn, through this, what attitudes, behaviours and actions lead to what outcomes, and you begin to understand what you need to change in those attitudes, behaviours and actions to bring about the outcome(s) you want. You then create principles or rules by which to live, think and behave and that you know will result in the outcome you want. Going through this process of self discovery is essential if you want to become the best that you can possibly be.
