Making the Most of 2007 Events Diary
Hello and welcome to the first edition of STIMULUS News. I hope you enjoy it.
The aim of this newsletter is to give you information around personal, professional and spiritual development, as well as hints, tips and quotes on healthy living, wellbeing and taking your life to the next level.
The theme for this newsletter is making 2007 matter. “Failing to plan is planning to fail” is a mantra we often hear. But why do we need to plan?
A plan is our road map that takes us from A to B. That is why one of our January events will be focusing on how you can stick to your New Year’s resolutions through effective planning as well as setting solid, realistic and workable goals. (See pages 2 & 3 for our New Year events).
This is the first of many newsletters, and the aim is not only to expand it, but to make it your newsletter. We therefore welcome any contributions, comments, announcements, or correspondence you would like to submit, as it all goes to making the newsletter a valuable, inclusive entity.
Don’t forget to let us have your feedback as your opinion is greatly valued. Enjoy the browse!

Making the Most of 2007
How will you make 2007 your year? How will you make it stand out from all the rest? This four point plan may help:
1. Acknowledge what you really want
2. Decide how to get it
3. Set out your plan
4. Go for it!
Knowing what you want and acknowledging it is half the battle if you want success. What do you want deep down? Your gut feelings tell you which direction your life should be taking and whether you are on the right path. What do you think about most of the time? What do you crave? What do you gravitate towards? If you discover a yearning take time out to examine it and bring it out into the open. This may be the thing that you really want to achieve.
Next, decide how you are going to achieve it. Don’t think about the fact that it might be too big a goal for you to achieve. Asking ‘How can I achieve this?’ is a sobering question that gets you thinking in a practical way. The more you think about it, the more your subconscious will seek solutions as to how you can achieve what you really want. Whatever we focus on, we gravitate towards – focusing on our dreams brings us closer to them.
Next, set out your plan: this specifies what you will do day by day to achieve your goal(s). Your plan need only be sufficiently detailed to propel you into action, so do not complicate it.
Finally, start today! Do something. Take some action, and continue it. This means you avoid falling into the trap of being a perpetual planner. Get going and refine what you are doing along the way.
Follow this four-step plan consistently throughout 2007 and it will help you along your path to success!
