Entrepreneurial Skills & Thinking
These days more and more people are turning to their own business as a source of income. For this they require entrepreneurial skills which includes the ability to be able to think in ways that are conducive to owning and running a successful business.
If we are to give ourselves the opportunity to run a successful business we need to accept that we may need to change our way of thinking. For example, those in business may be required to work very hard up front often for little or even no financial reward in the early days. The financial gain often comes on the back end: this is known as delayed gratification, and is a concept not often seen in the world of work where you are paid in a linear fashion - a month's salary for a month's work.
This workshop will assist those wishing to start their own business, or those who are already in business, to step outside the box and understand the importance their level of thinking has/will have on the success or otherwise of their business.
The mindset of a business person is very different to that of an employee. However, employees will derive just as much benefit from this workshop as those who own their own business or who are thinking of starting in business. The reason for this is that there is such a thing as entrepreneurial thinking for those who are employed - a set of thinking skills that employees should find useful in the workplace.
This type of thinking is about taking responsibility not only for your personal development, but for your working area and yourself in relation to your line manager and your organisation. It is about knowing where you fit in to the organisation, your role within the organisation and what contribution you make. Such a mindset puts you in a position of power. It means that despite the job you are doing and the person you are working for you can still do your bit in your corner to the best of your ability and know that you are making a difference.
The aim of the workshop is for participants to understand how thinking independently and as an entrepreneur even whilst in employment, can assist you in your life.
The workshop is aimed at those who wish to adopt a more positive and responsible attitude at work.
By the end of this entrepreneurial skills and thinking workshop you should be able to:
